You’re not the problem. Maybe it’s just time for a different kind of therapy.
Traditional therapy can be powerful but sometimes, the idea of sitting across from someone in an office makes you feel even more anxious, boxed in, or disconnected. Maybe your body feels restless when you talk about hard things. Maybe it’s easier to open up when you’re not making direct eye contact. Or maybe being surrounded by nature just helps you breathe easier.
Walk and Talk Therapy might be what you’ve been looking for.
It all starts with a FREE consultation! We're ready when you are.

What is Walk and Talk Therapy?
It’s a form of psychotherapy that takes place outdoors while walking, typically in a park or natural setting. Instead of sitting in a traditional office, you and your client walk side by side, combining movement with conversation. This approach can make therapy feel more relaxed and less intimidating, and the physical movement can help reduce anxiety, increase openness, and boost mood.
You might feel more grounded outside. You might think better on your feet. You might feel calmer surrounded by trees, sky, and fresh air. Walk and Talk Therapy can help if:
-
You feel stuck or restless in traditional talk therapy
-
You struggle with anxiety, perfectionism, or burnout and want a new approach
-
You find it easier to open up when you’re not in a closed space
-
You feel disconnected from your body and want to rebuild that relationship
-
You want therapy that feels less clinical and more human

What does research say about Walk and Talk Therapy?
✔ Walking creates connection with breath by naturally triggering deep, slow, regulated breathing (Udler, 2023).
✔ Walking helps us complete the stress-response cycle by moving stress through our system and release it (Udler, 2023).
✔Walking “cures” stagnant thoughts and behaviours (Rassovsky & Alfassi, 2019).
✔ Natural spaces have been found to support clients who may not otherwise engage with therapy (Scheinfeld et al., 2011).
✔ A 2012 study found that thinking about a painful memory while spending time in nature is particularly beneficial for people suffering from depression (Berman et al., 2012).
✔ In a 2022 study, researchers attached a portable EEG to participants while they were immersed in therapeutic gardens and watched in real time as the subject’s brains showed measurable improvements from depressive disorders (Olszewska-Guizzo et al., 2022)
